AB-RUST-MSv2-protection-contre-flash-rust-peinture-et-vernis-pahse-aqueuse

AB RUST®MSv2 protects the multi metal substrates in contact with water based formulations.

AB RUST®MSv2 is a ready to use aqueous solution made of several corrosion inhibitors.

AB RUST®MSv2 is VOC* free, nitrite free and European Ecolabel* compliant.

Applications - Dosage

AB RUST®MSv2 is mainly recommended for:

  • flash-rust protection of water based paints and varnishes based on acrylic, styrene-acrylic, alkyd, epoxy, polyurethane dispersions or emulsions
  • in-can protection for metal packaging filled with above products

AB RUST®MSv2 must be added preferentially in the letdown, before the rheological agents. The use in post-addition is also a possible option. The use levels are:

  • typically, from 1.0 to 1.5% based on the total weight

There is no advantage to use higher levels. On the contrary, a too high dosage can increase the water sensitivity of the dry film.

Characteristics

Aspect: yellowish to amber liquid
Density: 1.14 – 1.18 at 20°C
pH: 8.3- 8.9 at 20°C
Solubility: Water soluble in all proportions
