Our selected anticorrosion additives for detergents

Metal packaging containing aqueous phase detergents, as well as metal objects cleaned by these products, need protection against corrosion.

Why add anticorrosion protection in the aqueous phase?

Adding anticorrosion protection to aqueous phase detergents is essential for several reasons:

Protection of metal packaging:

It prevents the development of corrosion in the packaging.

Protection of metal surfaces:

Aqueous phase detergents are often used to clean metal surfaces. Without anticorrosion protection, these surfaces can corrode over time, reducing their lifespan and effectiveness.

Maintaining cleaning efficiency:

Corrosion can cause residues and deposits on cleaned surfaces, affecting the quality of cleaning. Anticorrosion agents help maintain a clean, residue-free surface after cleaning.

Prevention of repair costs:

Corrosion can lead to damage that requires costly repairs or replacements. Integrating anticorrosion agents into detergents reduces these risks and associated costs.

Safety of equipment:

Corrosion can weaken the structures and components of equipment, increasing the risk of failures and accidents. Anticorrosion agents help ensure the safety and reliability of the equipment used.

For materials and objects intended to come into contact with food, only substances authorized by national or European regulations can be used to compose the corrosion inhibitor.

The following products meet this requirement:
•  Substances listed in the Union list of authorized substances established in Annex I of Commission Regulation (EU) No 10/2011.
Substances listed in Annex 2 of the Swiss Ordinance of the Federal Department of Home Affairs.
